Who We Are

Rainbo Sports was established in 1956 and is one of the oldest retailers of skating equipment and clothing in the United States. Rainbo Sports was begun as the rink shop in the Rainbo Ice Arena in Chicago, one of the first private indoor ice arenas in the Midwest. Rainbo Sports has grown over nearly 50 years to serve customers throughout the United States, Canada and in many countries overseas.

We have a proud tradition of offering the latest, highest quality skating dresses, skate bags and gifts. Rainbo Sports also has a strong tradition of service and support. We know that our own success is tied to the success of our customers when they are working at their sport.

Rainbo Sports strives to be a constructive and positive force in the world of Figure Skating. Our aim is to provide participants and their families with the right products for their needs, fitted properly and outfitted to maximize their performance, while at the same time providing an excellent value.

Selection ­ One of, if not the widest selection of figure skating merchandise anywhere. Rainbo Sports carries all major brands, as well as many unique and hard to find items. We sell four major brands of skating boots, including: SP-Teri, Riedell, Jackson, and Graf. Rainbo is your one complete source for all your figure skating needs.

In-Stock ­ Rainbo Sports stocks the figure skating equipment it sells. When you order a skating boot from Rainbo Sports, unless it is an unusual size or width, we will likely have it in stock. Our in-stock position allows us to get our customers the merchandise they need quickly. Several manufacturers have long lead times and therefore we recognize the importance and value of an in-stock position.

Support ­ Rainbo Sports supports the products it sells … that means we stand behind the product, answer any questions about the product before and after your purchase, and we will make all necessary adjustments to boots and blades to make sure the skater has proper fit.
